The Informed Birth Series is a free, community-based birth education offering designed to help expectant parents feel confident, informed, and supported through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.

Rooted in evidence-based information and a deep respect for physiologic birth, this series creates space for education, reflection, and practical tools –  empowering families to make choices that align with their values and feel grounded in their bodies throughout the childbearing year.

January 31 – Preparing for Birth: Understanding Your Options & Building Your Birth Plan

An empowering overview of the physiology of birth and the wide range of birth options available. This class supports participants in clarifying their preferences, values, and priorities, while learning how to create a flexible, informed birth plan that works with their body and care team.

February 7 – Comfort, Coping & Pain Management for Pregnancy and Labor

A practical, hands-on class focused on comfort measures for pregnancy and labor. We’ll explore physical, emotional, and partner-supported coping tools, as well as medical and non-medical pain management options, so participants feel prepared and confident navigating labor sensations.

March 7 – Preparing for Postpartum: What to Expect & How to Feel Supported

A grounded conversation about the postpartum period, including physical recovery, emotional changes, what’s normal (and what’s not), infant feeding basics, and how to set up realistic support systems so families feel held during the transition home.
